FantaSci 8 promises to be as exciting and fun-filled as we have come to expect in the past years.
Jim Blanton and Chesapeake Central Library are hosting FantaSci once again, bringing you the Artists, Authors, Vendors, TV Personalities, and Fan Groups that you have come to know and love.
Joining us again this year will be Doctor Madblood, who is kicking off his 35 Year Anniversary. Our Good Doctor will be presenting a special feature, showing "The Creature From the Bleak Lagoon" which has not been seen in its entirety since it first aired in 1981. We’ve only seen bits of it from little clips on Madblood’s YouTube channel, but this will be the first time the Madblood Crew has shown the whole adventure in 29 years!
Local celebrity, Craig T. Adams, and his lovely wife and partner, Debra Burrell, who are not only a part of the Madblood Crew, but also are the geniuses behind Fuzz and Stuffing Puppets, will once again be manning the Madblood table.
FantaSci truly is a wonderful family event with great fun and content suitable for the whole family.
Artists’ Alley will be teeming with talent, as usual! The Authors will be selling and signing their books. The fan groups and clubs who attend bring such fun and excitement to everyone. It is always such a thrill to see so many Klingons running around!
Of course, seeing people show up to attend dressed as their favorite character is worth the visit to FantaSci alone.
The vendors bring a lot of cool, interesting merchandise from which to choose. Regal Cinemas always brings a marvelous display.
